International Student Services
The Office of International Student Services provides services and plans activities and co-curricular programs for international students. Some of the services provided by this office are: airport service at the beginning and end of each semester, assistance with checking into campus housing, international student orientation, assistance with opening bank accounts, periodic shopping, and assistance integrating into the university community. INTERNATIONAL STUDENT RESOURCES
Carson-Newman University through its Global Education program works to strengthen the international and intercultural dimensions of the campus through a diverse range of curricular and co-curricular programs. Central to the mission of the University, the Center for Global Education provides enhanced programming that is committed to the Christian values of servanthood, leadership training, and global outreach.
In order to be evaluated for admission to an International Undergraduate program, the following documents are required. Please email Ms. Nilma Stewart, Director of International Admissions, at nstewart@classelectronics.net if you have any questions. Documents can be submitted individually and we understand that the documents relating to visa eligibility take additional time to compile. Please contact Ms. Stewart for guidance.

- Official Transcripts from high school or secondary school and diploma or National Examination Result slip (One in original native language, one translated into English)- A professional course-by-course evaluation may be required for the admissions process. Please click here for specific official transcript instructions.
- Official Duolingo, TOEFL or IELTS score report.The minimum required Duolingo score is 90. The minimum required TOEFL score is 74 iBT (internet based). The minimum required IELTS score is 6.0 or an EIKEN score of Level 1 with a compulsory math placement exam.
- Confirmation of Financial Support form (this form can be accessed through your application status portal)
- Official, currently dated bank letter in support of funding listed on Confirmation of Financial Support form (bank letter instructions can be accessed in your application status portal)
- I-20 Application (this form can be accessed through your application status portal)
- Color scan of passport photo page
If you are admitted, please submit the $200.00 enrollment deposit through your application status portal at admissions.classelectronics.net/status

- Official university transcript showing a bachelor’s degree has been conferred. A professional course by course credential evaluation may be required for the admission process. Please click here for specific official transcript instructions.
- Official Duolingo, TOEFL or IELTS score report. The minimum required Duolingo score is 101, the minimum for TOEFL is a 79 iBT (internet based) and the minimum required IELTS score is 6.5. Applicants may also submit an EIKEN score of Level 1 with a compulsory math placement exam.

International student health insurance is mandatory. This amount will be charged to the student’s account one-half in the fall semester and the other half in the spring semester. For more information, contact the Center for Global Education.
LewerMark, a provider of health and accident insurance to international students, provides all International Students with coverage at Carson-Newman. Your student account will be billed each semester for your coverage. Your insurance card will be provided by the Center for Global Education. For information on LewerMark, click here. The mission of the C-N International Club is to bring together students from a variety of cultural backgrounds in order to raise multicultural awareness and encourage friendship in a global setting. The Club is a student-led group that seeks to encourage interaction between international and American students by organizing a variety of fun and interactive events that both highlight and celebrate the different nations represented on campus.
